Passionate and Qualified Music Teachers

 

A registered music teacher (R.M.T.) is a music teacher who is fully qualified and has been accepted by the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association. The ORMTA is the only official body of independent music teachers in Ontario. It is an association requiring high professional standards of its members. 

A Registered Music Teacher:

1. has a degree or diploma at the Associate or Licentiate level from a recognized university or school of music.
2. has passed a written teacher's examination, if the degree was in performance.
3. has proof of teaching experience and student examination results at the honours level. (80 and above)
